Kyndal cut her first tooth!!! We found it on Tuesday evening after our very long trip back from Texas. You can see where it cut
through and can feel it, we are guessing that the next one will be along soon. Unfortunately along with teething she has been
sick. She had a fever of 103 last week and the doctor said it was a viral infection. She was probably run down from the long
trip and she was around alot of people and babies so she may have picked up something. She is not quite herself yet, and
we are not sure if it is because of the teething or the cold. She is eating better though. Our poor little baby, we hope she is back
to herself soon.
We have been so busy and are glad to have a couple of weeks home for a change. We made our drive to Texas and Kyndal got to meet
some of her family for the first time. We got to see her second cousin Kristen get married and I got to play wedding coordinator for the
day. We had a great time and visited Bret's friend Bryan and Jenny and their two kids. It was fun. We broke up the trip down
there and stayed in Little Rock, so that wasn't so bad, but the trip back amounted to about 10.5 hours driving and 13 hours total. Needless
to say we were glad to finally be home.
This past weekend we were off to Cookeville so that I could do Bridal portraits. The portraits turned out great, it was a lot of fun.
Now I think we will take a rest. I have lots of pictures to work on and am a bit behind. I can't wait to be caught up.
Since our last journal entry, Kyndal has had her 6 month checkup. She was 16 lbs 9 oz, can you believe it? I can, she is so heavy.
She is in the 75th percentile for weight, height, and head. She is doing fantastic developmentally and is ahead of schedule. The doctor gave
us the go ahead for more solid foods (although we have already been giving her some).
We had our first trip to the zoo last Tuesday. It was the day before Kyndal got her fever. We bought a zoo membership so we will
be able to go anytime we want and bring guests. Kyndal liked the meerkats and the red panda the best. I think because they were at
her level and would walk right past her in front of the glass. I think she liked the alligators too, she just didn't quite know what to think
of them. It was so exiting, I can't wait for spring to come and stay.
Here soon, I will be changing the format of Kyndal's journal entries and starting them in a blog. The blogs will be easier for me
to maintain and I will be able to make shorter entries more often. So look for a link to Kyndal's new blog in the next week.
